If you want to get the best results with youtube, use relevant tags. Putting spam porn tags on a halo3 video isn't going to help you get viewers who are looking for your video. I would use tags like halo, halo3, secret, easter egg, halo commercial, video game, etc.
I would suggest starting a blog and including your videos as blog posts whenever you create them. Put a description of the video in the blog post as well. Also use Twitter, Digg, and other social media to link either to your blog post, or to the videos themselves on youtube.
Relevant tags make your videos more useful to youtube. Irrelevant tags are spam.

Well, for youtube, my old account got suspeneded which had 100+ subscribers, so i had to find out how to get more subscribers, and fast.
Some things I found out...
1.) Even though its great to make an amv with a song nobody has used before, not many people are going to watch it. Most of the time if the song you use isnt popluar, people arnt going to be searching for it on youtube.
2.) Comment on tons of videos! DO NOT say things like "hey check out my channel". That gets on people nerves! Just comment on peoples videos, subscribe to them, and add them as a friend. If you're nice to them, they may subscribe to you and become your friend
3.) Give the people what they want. When you are just trying to raise your subscription level, use popluar couples, or popular ideas in your videos. The more common the couple, theres more of a chance someone will search for your video. After you have a decent ammount of subscribers, thats when you do all the goofy slash couples and such!
4.) My last word of advice is make video responses and enter contests! people really do watch those videos!!

I hope my advice was helpful! Good luck with getting subscribers on youtube! =P

Yes, try going to sites like Facebook, Xanga, MySpace, etc. and advertising your videos. One time I did that and I got 300 views on the first day! Also, try changing the title of the videos so more people will click on them ;)

Difficulty: Average
Time Required: Can take several hours, depending on your resources
Here's How:
Plan Your Video. This is probably the most important step in the whole process because if you don't plan it well, your final result won't be very good. Start by picking a song that has two qualities: 1) you really like it and 2) it has an anime "feel" to it. That doesn't mean it has to be Jpop.. just that you can envision some select anime scenes rocking to your tune.
Map Out Your Lyrics. The idea here is to make your video match the music. Most songs, especially rock music, have a mix of milder verse and more "explosive" choruses. Listen to your selected tune and determine what type of clips would go well in each section of the song. This will help when you begin slicing your video.
Pick Your Video. This part of the process can be extremely time consuming, depending upon your resources. Using purchased DVD's that you own, you'll need to import your selected clips into MPEG or AVI format. There are several software programs available that can help you do this or you can use a video capture card to get the same results. Once you've imported all your clips, you're ready to start slicing.
Slice Your Clips Using one of many editing programs out there (Adobe Premier and Pinnacle are both great choices) slice your video clips according to your song lyrics. Most of these editing programs will import your music as well as your video so that you can preview your work as you go.
Publish. All that's left to do now is burn your masterpiece to a CD and enter it in one of the many con competitions! Good luck!
Tips:
Be sure to only use music and video from DVD's and CD's that you've purchased, not the downloaded bootleg stuff.
Pick a song that matches your clips. For example, Dragon Ball Z fight scenes go great with tunes from Limp Bizkit, Disturbed and Metallica. Romantic anime would work better with something more mellow like a ballad or love song.
Don't just put an entire episode to music. Pick and choose the best parts of the episode(s) then string them together so that they flow from one to the next. Think about movie previews you see on TV.
Be creative. The only limitation to anime music videos is your own imagination.
What You Need:
DVD's and CD's
Video capturing equipment or software
Video/DVD editing software
A good imagination and several hours to kill
Patience

If you're just starting I would go with roxio it rips and has a small video editor that is better then the one windows comes with if you what to do soming crazy like lip sync then you need a fast comp and Adobe Premiere. i'm working on a lip sync right now and it is tough because the buffer needs to have no delay or your syncing to a second behind yourself and that is bad

hope to see your video at
